Ullstorp

The small church village of Ullstorp is located one kilometre south-east of Tomelilla on the way to Bollerup. There is a collection of farms and houses near the church, including a popular farm hotel. The address of the Tomelilla Golf Club fine 18-hole course and the Greensleep golf hotel is also Ullstorp.

The oldest parts of the church date from the 12th century. The church underwent extensive rebuilding in 1890. The church is located on the edge of the beautiful valley where Örupsån flows. In the northern part of the valley there are large pastures with hawthorn bushes, sloes and hazel. Here you can find the rare field bindweed, a fairly inconspicuous yellow fibula that is only found in a few places in the country. More common are cowslips, almond flowers and orchids. On the south side of the Örup River, it is much wetter with rich marshes and calcareous meadows with distinctive flora, orchids and sedges.

Down in the valley is the old Ullstorp vicarage, where the well-known vicar Curt Wallin, who among other things has done outstanding research on the Middle Ages in Österlen, lived.
The small collection of villas just east of the entrance to Tomelilla from Simrishamn is also called Ullstorp. Ullstorp's Garden Centre, Tomelilla Flygklubbs Tomelilla Airport and a go-kart track are located here.

The distance from "the two Ullstorp" to the centre of Tomelilla is less than a kilometre. From the travel centre you can take the bus towards Simrishamn, Ystad, Kristianstad and Lund. Pågatåg operates on the line Simrishamn- Ystad via Tomelilla about 12 times daily in each direction.
