Vranarp

Vranarp is located on national road 9 just west of Järrestad, a stone's throw south-east of Tommarp. The surroundings are farmland with the slope down to Tommarpsån in the north. A memorial stone has been erected by the road a few metres west of the village.

Holger Skräddare's cottage was once located here on this small triangular piece of land, and it was here that the Österlen painter Henrik Wranér was born. On the other side of Tommarpsån is the interesting Ullspinneriet, the Hernedahl family continues to keep the premises and the fantastic garden open to visitors in the summer.

In addition to the large farms, one of which is a farm shop, Vranarp has a couple of smaller single-family houses. One of the farms houses a gallery. Just outside the village is the award-winning Vilhelmsdal farm dairy where, among other things, good goat cheeses are made. A bus to the west and east is available in the village.

The nearest town with services, such as a school, hospital, pharmacy, nursing home, shops and municipal services is Simrishamn, four kilometres to the east. Gärsnäs and Hammenhög both offer good services and are less than half a kilometre away.
