On the way between Pipework and Ö. bucket leaves we find just south-southwest of Forsemölla a turn-off to the east towards Skräddaröd village. Quite a few properties, mainly farms labelled Skräddaröd, are located on both sides of the main road towards Pipework, but the village of Skräddaröd is a fairly newly built village consisting of villas.
The surroundings are a mixture of pasture, orchards, small fields and forest. The village's great strength is the magnificent nature experiences available close by, such as the Forse and Stränte waterfalls. Here you will find places for e.g. tree frogs, lesser spotted woodpeckers and great crested newts. Three kilometres away is the wonderful swimming and fishing lake Gyllebosjön, the municipality's largest lake.
It is less than five kilometres to the morning beach at The squat houses. Stockeboda farm with restaurant and its own beer brewery etc. is within cycling distance, as is Rörum's southern river with the waterfalls at Forse and Stränte, Rörum village, Vik with harbour and two 18-hole golf courses, Kulla amusement park, Stenshuvud national park and Mandelmann gardens.
Many artists, craftsmen and other cultural workers live in Skräddaröd and the surrounding area. The nearest larger town with services such as schools, hospitals and shops is Simrishamn 14 kilometres to the south-east. Schools are also located in Gärsnäs and Kivik. Bus connections to Simrishamn and Kivik is available from the main road between Pipework and Ö. bucket leaves.
