Musik på Österlen is run by Petronella Torin - cellist, singer and music teacher with long experience of creating personalised and vibrant music experiences. After several years as an active musician in the Netherlands, where she ran her own music school and concert activities, she has now established her Music Studio in Österlen - a place where music and nature can meet in a calm and inspiring environment.

There is much more to the programme than traditional concerts. Audiences can experience music from many different genres - from classical to folk, jazz and improvisation. Petronella likes to work in an interdisciplinary way, creating performances that combine music with other forms of expression. One example is the concert The Ugly Duckling, where she, together with an actor, brings the fairy tale to life in both words and sound.

The Music Studio also offers courses and individual lessons, mainly in cello, but also in singing and music theory. The lessons are aimed at all ages and levels, with a focus on curiosity, enjoyment and personal development.

For those who want to invite the music into their own environment, Petronella also offers Take Away concerts - a form of private concert that can be booked for the home, garden or a special occasion. The Best of Cello programme offers a varied mix of styles, adapted for small and intimate settings.
