What do we do when it rains? Summer rain is a wonderful and refreshing part of summer. It brings relief from the heat, revitalises nature and allows us to relax. Visit an exhibition, a museum, a flea market or why not a shopping trip in one of the many places we have here in Österlen. Here are a few tips. Out in the rain!!!

For more than 130 years, Gärsnäs has manufactured furniture with quality and sustainability in focus. With a factory in the heart of Österlen, they combine traditional craftsmanship with modern design and innovative materials.
In the Gärsnäs showroom, you can experience the furniture first hand - try it out, feel the materials and get an insight into production. The building, designed by Dive Architects, is an attraction in itself with its generous windows and open spaces that blend in with the surrounding landscape.

Tomelilla konsthall
Tomelilla Konsthall was built in 1965 and is housed in Tomelilla Kulturhus. The art centre consists of a large hall and three smaller exhibition rooms, where exhibitions with a wide variety are shown all year round. The ambition is for visitors to encounter different art forms, styles, techniques and expressions. Both contemporary and traditional art is exhibited. Since 2017, there has also been an artist in residence attached to the art centre.
In parallel with the exhibitions, educational activities are organised to reach out to children and young people, with both school tours and workshops. It is also possible to book private tours of the current exhibition.
There is free admission to all exhibitions at Tomelilla Konsthall, which stems from a desire to spread and increase knowledge of contemporary art.

The Hasse & Tage Museum - a BIG little museum! How much can you fit into 17 square metres? In this particular case, almost 50 years of production from two very productive gentlemen. Thirteen monitors show the immortal films and in cabinets, drawers and glass cases you will find props, scripts and a whole lot of other things that trigger your memories of films, revues, sketches and monologues. If you know your Hasse & Tage, you will have many déjà vu experiences, "new believers" will have many new aha experiences and even the very youngest, who have no idea about the history of the two gentlemen, will come out of the Hasse & Tage Museum with a happy smile on their face.

Briefly about me, Monica Persdotter.
Born in 1965. Lives in Rörum on Österlen where I have my studio, workshop and exhibition.
My interest in ceramics was awakened after some weekend and evening courses and it got me stuck in the world of clay. In 2011 I went part-time as an AD and took an apprenticeship with ceramist Calle Forsberg in Stockholm where I stayed until 2018 when we moved down to Österlen.

A MEETING PLACE FOR CELEBRATION, JOY AND COMMUNITY!
In the middle of the fantastic nature of Österlen you will find Svabesholms Kungsgård. Our meeting place offers good food, accommodation, shopping, animals and country life. With us you can enjoy being in one of Sweden's most beautiful places - a piece of magic in Österlen!
When the rain pours down in Österlen, there are still things to enjoy, and one of them is to visit Olof Viktors. In their shop and café, visitors don't just get coffee, but a genuine taste experience. Whether you choose a perfect mini princess, a fluffy buttery croissant, seven kinds of cakes or one of their magical sandwiches, the quality of the flavours is outstanding. Rumour has it that their carrot cake is "the fluffiest in the country", which may be due to the generous frosting and the best ingredients. For those who want to take some of the goodness home with them, the shop also offers fine artisanal products such as marmalade, juices, crusts and sourdough starters.

10 OKT – 2 NOV

Here you can meet the town's inhabitants and learn more about events and developments through objects, texts and films.
The themes depicted are fishing and shipping, church and power, war and disasters, trade and merchants, children and young people, crafts and industry, entertainment and tourism. The time perspective is the 12th to 20th centuries.

Karl Fredrik på Eklaholm
A warm welcome to Karl Fredrik at Eklaholm's world of flowers, plants, decor, colour, shape and things with soul and heart! You are always welcome to our world at Eklaholm by visiting our online store which is open around the clock, where you will find a hand-picked assortment that gives more flavour and the feeling of Österlen!
Eklaholm is our farm where we both live and work, located along the coast here in beautiful Österlen. Here land and sea meet, here the summer is longer than anywhere else in Sweden, Sweden's Provence simply! We who live here on the farm are Petter, Karl Fredrik, the dog Hamlet and the cats Leopold and JC. The farm has historically been a large farm dating back to the 17th century, the old cobblestone farmhouse is still there today. In autumn 2015 we bought the farm and converted the old stables and barn buildings into an interior design shop, flower shop (Eklaholm Flower Bar) and garden shop with a nursery section that we call Eklaholm Plantis!
Our ambition is to inspire a freer approach to gardening, flowers and interior design where the aesthetic is of great importance but also the love of life, all growing and the nature we live in harmony with! A warm welcome to Karl Fredrik at Eklaholm's fairytale world, filled with beauty, floral joy, enjoyment of life but also blood, sweat and tears!

Upcoming exhibitions:
Brösarp Salon
18-20 & 26-27 April
A juried exhibition that aims to showcase the breadth of amazing artists living and working in Skåne!
Mrs Linnéa Andersson
5 July-7 September
Brösarp Konsthall presents the promising artist Linnéa Andersson (b. 1989 in Halmstad).
Linnéa's work is characterised by a unique aesthetic and an intuitive process. For her, painting is an exploration of balance, rhythm and colour - a constant exploration of how far she can go with a minimum of elements.
Welcome to the vernissage on 5 July 2025, and meet the artist herself, who is already well on her way to entering the Swedish artistic canon.
Mr August Nilsson
20 September-26 October
August Nilsson (b. 1986) grew up in Skåne and Stockholm, is an artist educated at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie (BFA 2015) and Valand Academy.
Living in a croft outside Halmstad, he finds inspiration in nature and its healing power, something he links to green rehab and the positive effect the colour green has on humans. His work spans creatures, animals, nature and urban environments. The creation takes place in a circular process where several canvases are developed in parallel and stories emerge as collages of loose fragments.
Nilsson's artistic work is characterised by a balance between impulsiveness and discipline, where even unfinished works are sometimes allowed to take their place as reminders of the unpredictability of creation.
A warm welcome to the opening on 20 September.
Karossgården Antiques
Since 1995, Karossgården Antikt has been an obvious destination for those who love old things with soul. Here, antiques coexist with curios in a personalised mix - everything from furniture and lamps to linen, porcelain and odd objects that arouse curiosity and memories.
Welcome to browse among hand-picked treasures in an environment where time takes its place.
