Our history

Ten years ago, we left Malmö and moved to our country house in beautiful Österlen. We renovated the 19th century house for permanent living alongside our regular jobs as blacksmiths and university teachers. We enjoy the peaceful nature around the house and have now converted the old pigsty into an art gallery after renovating it in harmony with the old farm building.

The Art Gallery

Svinstian, which dates back to the mid-19th century, has been carefully renovated to preserve its original features, windows and beams. The gallery is currently a family gallery, but we also invite guest artists. The gallery is open during Easter, together with other art galleries in Österlen.

The exhibition

Our family has a passion for art, which has influenced our life choices and creative expression. Per Hedblom is a self-taught oil painter inspired by the avant-garde era and analytical cubism. His paintings depict small communities or enclosed environments with houses, stairs, windows and doors that invite visual metaphors. My Hedblom is a documentary photographer with a penchant for the abstract and metaphorical, drawing inspiration from artists such as Man Ray, Bill Brandt and Cindy Sherman. Her photographs tell little stories about society, interpreted by both the artist and the viewer. Finally, Mom Von Hedblom is a Creative Director in the software industry with artistic talents ranging from minimalist photography and classical portraiture to cubist digital art inspired by analytical cubism and surrealism.
