This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Council of Europe's European Year of Conservation of Historic Buildings. It was a reaction to the widespread demolitions of the 1960s and 70s.
During the Jubilee Year, the role of the cultural environment is highlighted today and in the future - for the climate, for the environment and for the survival and enrichment of our built heritage.
Detta vill vi ju så klart vara med och uppmärksamma på Glimmingehus, och därför gästas vi av timmerman och smed dessa temadagar om medeltida byggande och byggnadsvård!
Från J Sjöblom Bygghantverk kommer timmerman Jan Sjöblom för att visa timmermansarbete, bland annat bredbilning.
Vi välkomnar också smeden Robert Karlsson från Robert Karlsson Metall, som står i ässjan och smider byggnadssmide.
Kanske får både stor och liten prova på ett och annat! Passa gärna på att ställa frågor till hantverkarna.
There will also be other activities related to medieval construction and building conservation, where you can try your hand at clay stone making, painting, architectural commissions from the master builder in the castle, beating ropes and lots more!
