This summer, the Drakamöllan Opera Festival takes inspiration from Glyndebourne in the south of England and creates its very own version - an intimate festival experience in a beautiful courtyard setting.
With the courtyard as an opera theatre, we offer a classic baroque interpretation of The Barber of Seville, produced by Guido Paevatalu. The ensemble is made up of young talents, with Josefine Andersson, Frederik Rolin and Petter Moen in the leading roles. The music is conducted by concertmaster Leif Greibe.
Picnic break - just like at Glyndebourne
In the middle of the performance, we take a 90-minute break to enjoy a festive picnic. A well-prepared basket awaits, filled with bubbly, tasty sandwiches and an exciting dessert. The main course is served buffet style, Drakamöllan style. At Glyndebourne, the dress code is tuxedo and long dress - we encourage an elegant touch for an extra festive evening.

The intimate atmosphere of the Gårdstun creates the perfect setting for a concert of rare sounds from history. We travel from 13th century knightly songs, performed by Guido Paevatalu with Andy Sundström on guitar and Paul Høxbro on flute, to Swedish music history with national fiddlers Mirjam Andersén and Anna Rynefors, known from SVT's History of Sweden.
